Who we are

forgerobotics.co.uk is operated by RAPLIN VENTURES LTD (“Forge Robotics”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website. You can reach us about anything in this policy at [email protected].

Enquiries and contact forms

When you send an enquiry (contact form, manufacturer listing application or similar) we collect the details you provide — typically your name, email address, phone number, company details and your message. We use them to respond to your enquiry and to manage the resulting business relationship. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (responding to enquiries you initiate) and, where your enquiry leads towards a contract, steps taken at your request before entering a contract.

Enquiry details are sent to us by email and stored in our customer relationship system (Brevo). We keep enquiry records while the conversation or business relationship remains active and review stored records at least annually.

Job applications

When you apply for a role or register interest through our careers pages we collect your name, contact details, CV, and anything you include in your application. We use this information only for recruitment. What happens to it depends on the kind of application:

  • Applications for open roles. We process your application as part of recruitment for that vacancy (steps taken at your request before entering an employment contract). If your application is unsuccessful we delete it within six months of the process closing, unless you tick the talent-pool box on the form — in which case we keep it for up to six months and may contact you about similar openings.
  • Future openings (talent pool). Roles labelled “future opening” are not live vacancies. If you register interest, we keep your details only with your consent, for up to six months, and contact you if the role (or a similar one) opens. If it does not, we delete your application at the end of that period. You can withdraw at any time by emailing us — we will delete your details promptly.
  • Speculative applications. If you email us a CV without applying for a specific role, we treat it the same way as a talent-pool registration: kept for up to six months, then deleted. If we have no suitable use for the information we delete it as soon as possible.

Application files are stored in access-controlled cloud storage (Cloudflare R2) and in our recruitment mailbox. They are seen only by the people involved in hiring.

Analytics and site protection

  • Microsoft Clarity. We use Clarity to understand how visitors use the site (pages visited, clicks, scrolling — including session replays and heatmaps). Clarity may set cookies and collects usage data on our behalf; Microsoft acts as our processor. See Microsoft’s privacy statement for details.
  • Cloudflare. The site and its forms are served and protected by Cloudflare, including Turnstile verification that keeps spam out of our forms. Cloudflare processes visitor IP addresses to provide security and delivery. Rate-limiting on our forms uses a truncated hash of your IP address, never the raw address.

Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with the service providers that run this website and our communications: Brevo (email delivery and contact management), Cloudflare (hosting, security, form processing and file storage) and Microsoft (analytics). Each acts under contract as our processor. Where a provider processes data outside the UK, transfers are protected by UK-approved safeguards such as the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to our processing of it, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time where consent is our basis (such as the talent pool). To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our data handling changes and revise the effective date above. Significant changes to how we handle job applications will be flagged on the careers pages.
